Going To The Sun Road

The 50-mile-long Going-to-the-Sun road takes you from West Glacier Montana, across the Continental Divide all the way to the east side of the park and Saint Mary's Montana. You travel through diverse alpine environments, past glacially carved and fed Lake McDonald, through swamps where moose sightings are frequent, to Logan Pass at the Continental Divide. The road then heads down the eastern side of the divide, passing the cascading Lunch Creek and St. Mary Lake and on the way to a small town called St. Mary.
